These green coffee beans were grown in the in the northern reaches of Zambia near the Tanzania border in a town called Mafinga. While Zambia has just entered the specialty coffee world, and more known for its washed coffees, Natural process coffees were the default until washing was introduced about 30 years ago. For this coffee the natural process, and Mafinga's unique volcanic soil yield complexity and depth in the cup. This Natural process produces a uniquely complex profile with grape candy, and cherry pie filling, that is laced with acidity, producing a thoroughly syrupy cup.
