A deep and satisfying cup with rich fruit undertones, and smooth creamy body.
This coffee is the result of a project by Lutheran World Relief, to improve livelihoods in Uganda. Working with over 850 farmers around Mt Elgon, the program has provided technical assistance, and pays premiums to small-holder farmers who are producing the coffee. The farmer's who have a long history of land stewardship, soil rejuvenation and sustainable practices, struggled to produce high quality until investments were made to improve their wet-mills, and drying capacity. Now farmers are producing great quality, as evidenced by this stunning lot.
We prefer this at light medium, to accentuate the delicate fruit notes, and creamy body, but this coffee can definitely stand up to deeper roast tones, and will make a bold and flavorful cup towards second crack.
